All new Bruins (Transfers and Freshmen alike!) are invited to the New Student Welcome. This is an opportunity to meet campus leadership, immerse yourself into UCLA traditions and hear about UCLA's priorities to see what campus life is all about. This signature event will kick off with a land acknowledgement and inspiring speeches to propel you through UCLA.
At the New Student Welcome, you will meet campus leadership, the Chancellor, and the President of the Undergraduate Student Association. Get ready to rally and learn important information to launch your UCLA experience!
What to Expect
- Hear from the Chancellor and student leaders as they welcome you to your new home.
- Get your first taste of the pride, history, and rituals that make UCLA unforgettable.
- Connect with leadership, student orgs, and future friends who’ll shape your Bruin journey.

Getting There
- Live-on Students - Contact your RA to learn about your community’s meeting place
- Commuter Students - Join the Commuter Student Program’s event and head to the event together.
